Virginia Governor Pardon’s 60,000 Convicted Felons Just In Time For Election

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has granted voting rights to as many as 60,000 convicted felons just in time for them to register to vote, nearly five times more than previously reported and enough to win the state for his long-time friend, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

McAuliffe sought to allow all of Virginia’s estimated 200,000 felons to vote, but state courts said each individual felon’s circumstances must be weighed. To get around that, McAuliffe used a mechanical autopen to rapidly sign thousands of letters, as if he had personally reviewed them.

This story repeats a lie that appears to have started at The Daily Caller – no pardons were issued.

A smiling schmuck, maybe one of those felons will come to his home and “thank” him.
    Unbelievable, so corrupt!

wow just wow he is like a white washed clone of obama ffs but this is even worse giving them a pardon ffs means they are no longer restricted from legally buying a firearm through the background check system since a pardon removes their felony. I bet it is a ploy to try and increase gun violence knowing that many will repeat offend so they can try to push even more gun control sigh.

Stuff like this is a step toward tyranny.

If felons should be allowed to vote, and I think many do, then a law needs to be passed undoing the laws preventing them from voting.

What is going on is that we have laws preventing people from doing all sorts of things (including voting in this incident) and the elites get to give waivers to some. For example, ObamaCare applies to some people but many politicians give “waivers” to other people.

The end result is that the law does not apply to their friends and is applied to their enemies.

That’s what tyrannies do: outlaw everything and only prosecute their enemies.

When rights mattered, taking away rights to vote, own firearms, hold elected office, etc, was a deterrent for crime. We live in a time when anything goes and the worst of us are about to govern the rest of us.
