PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say two Oakland County sheriff's deputies were injured when their patrol vehicle was struck by a woman with nearly twice the amount of alcohol considered drunk in Michigan.
The sheriff's department says the deputies had gone to a home in Pontiac to take a police report early Sunday when their vehicle was hit. One deputy had knee injuries and one had back in injuries. They were treated at a hospital.
The 34-year-old driver from Pontiac was arrested. Tiffany A. Jackson is charged with drunken driving and is free on bond.
The sheriff's department says she had a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent, almost twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
A telephone listing for Jackson repeatedly rang busy Monday.
