Officer Jeronimo Yanez Trial:  Not Guilty

After deliberations of 4 days, the jury found  Officer Jeronimo Yanez “Not Guilty” on all counts.

Yanez, a 29-year-old Latino officer, was charged in the July 6 death of Philando Castile.

In the trial, St. Anthony (MN) Police Chief Jon Mangseth testified that the shooting was justified.

The aftermath of the shooting was broadcast live on Facebook by Castile’s girlfriend.

At issue wazs whether Castile, grabbed a gun after officer Yanez told him not to.

We pointed out earlier this week that every police officer should pay attention in the outcome of this case.
