Cintolo and fellow Officer Matt Morris both underwent multiple surgeries after being shot by Kirk Figueroa, who was killed during the incident.

Morris remains hospitalized, but has been upgraded to stable condition.

“So happy to see Richie sent home. Matt’s getting better. Thanks again to everybody for all the support and prayers,” said Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.
