Louisiana Deputy Shot And Killed

A Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy who was shot Wednesday (June 22) during a pedestrian stop in Harvey has died.

NOPD Chief Michael Harrison said the officer was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. JPSO later confirmed the deputy had died.

The officer was shot at about 12:21 p.m. near the intersection of Manhattan Boulevard and Ascot Road, Fortunato said. He said the shooting happened during a “pedestrian stop.”

He said the suspect then ran away into the Pebble Walk neighborhood, Fortunato said. Investigators are questioning “several people,” he said, but at this point “can’t say for certain the people we have stopped, that one of them is the shooter.”

“Pedestrian stop” means the cop had no reason to suspect him of a crime. The cop was breaking the law and violating the “suspect’s” rights. Under these circumstances, it’s obvious the pedestrian feared for his life. This is a clear case of self defense. The officer’s estate should be awarded to the pedestrian to compensate for emotional duress, and the officer’s family thrown out in the streets for marrying a farm animal.

You sound like a dumbass. I feel sorry for your family or anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to deal with you. Hopefully you’re being satirical, because if not then how do you even dress yourself?

You know this for certain? So you were there. You are privy to ALL the facts in this case? Since you were there, why didn’t you bring up the topic of the individuals rights to the officer? Why haven’t you given any information to the police as far as who the shooter is. You obviously know.
“Pedestrian Stop” could mean a multitude of things. Unless you have verifiable psychic powers (in which case play the lotto) shut that gaping hole under your nose. Otherwise, I’d be happy to see you as the next one bloody and dying on the street.
