The Black Lives Matter Movement based on a lie in Ferguson (Hands Up-Don’t Shoot) and the myth of systematic racism in law enforcement built up by the media continues to come unraveled.
Heather Mac Donald recently discussed the latest four studies published this year citing that if there is a bias in police shootings, it works in favor of blacks and against whites. Officers’ use of lethal force following an arrest for a violent felony is more than twice the rate for white as for black arrestees, according to one study. Another study showed that officers were three times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed whites.

There is no more important time for law enforcement than at this very moment. Will the lies forever alter what FBI Director Comey said the “good people” of law enforcement that “took exhausting, dangerous jobs because they want to help people” or will the profession rise up, continue to do their job in a professional matter despite all of the white noise?
No government agency is more dedicated to the proposition that black lives matter than the police.
It is the police that are assisting the victims of violent crime that are overwhelmingly black.
It is the police investigating and arresting the perpetrators of violent crime that are overwhelmingly black.
And it is the police that will continue to go into black neighborhoods to help, mentor and lead so many children that have been left devastated without fathers and a home that can protect them from the evil of gang violence.
All the while, the folks at Black Lives Matter are no where to be found.
Law Officer is the only major law enforcement publication and website owned and operated by law enforcement. This unique facet makes Law Officer much more than just a publishing company but is a true advocate for the profession.
