Tulsa (OK) Police released dashcam videos of a chase on Wednesday that led to the fatal shooting of the suspect.
One of the videos shows the suspect ramming a pursuing police car with his stolen pickup then driving off. Another video shows the end of the chase and appears to contain audio of a police officer firing his weapon.
The man driving the stolen pickup as Russell Rosser, 43, police said. A passenger in the truck jumped out and ran and police have not found him yet.
Police said the chase started around 4:30 p.m. on June 15, 2016 when an officer attempted to pull over a truck in the 800 block of North Louisville Avenue. They said the driver rammed the police vehicle and drove off.
An officer can be heard on the video telling other officers the suspect crashed at Pine and Dawson. That’s where Sergeant Steve Stoltz shot and killed him.
Police said Stoltz was putting out stop sticks when Rosser, tried to hit him with the truck. Stoltz is on administrative leave with pay while police investigate.
