Police Officers Shot At After Stopping At Abandoned Car

One person has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after firing on police on Route 22 in New Jersey Tuesday night.

Officers saw a vehicle stopped in the breakdown lane on Route 22 in the Whitehouse Station section of the township on Tuesday night.

The officers saw a person in a field near the vehicle and when the officers asked them to come out, they fired a weapon towards the officers.

The suspect, Rafael Garcia, age 74, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and is being held on $1 million bail.
