Wave 3 News reports that a Butler County (KY) deputy was involved in a shooting Sunday morning after being dragged by a vehicle on Logansport Road.
At approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, Deputy Chris Reneer with the Butler County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Ford Explorer.

During the stop, Reneer believed the occupants had outstanding warrants.
While Reneer tried to identify the passenger, he engaged with Reneer in a physical altercation.
The deputy deployed his Taser but the suspect continued to struggle.
The vehicle then accelerated, dragging Reneer.
Reneer fired multiple shots and struck the suspect multiple times. The vehicle continued a short distance before striking a guardrail.
The suspect has been identified as Randy J. Clark Jr., 43, of Bowling Green. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clark was wanted on multiple warrants in Warren County and by Probation and Parole.
Reneer was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
