Actress Julianne Moore attended a march for gun control on Saturday and told the crowd that “Gun Control is not a Second Amendment issue.”
The march was organized by Michael Bloomberg-funded Moms Demand Action.
Participants in the gun control event marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to demand that Congress expand background checks to more gun purchases.
“This is not a Second Amendment issue! It does not deserve to be hotly debated as such! It is a safety issue!” Moore told marchers, according to Newsday.
Participants in the march carried signs. One sign criticized concealed carry, saying, “Nobody carrying loaded guns in public is a ‘good guy.’”
