A sign playing on the Black Lives Matter slogan produced “outrage” and “backlash” across a Canadian college campus, according to a school leader.
A picture circulated showing a group of Western University male students posing in front of a sign reading “Western Lives Matter,” reports the National Post.

“Western does not tolerate racism. Western University considers the ‘Western Lives Matter’ banner to be contrary to the university’s values,” Jana Luker, the associate vice president for student experience, said about the banner.
The image made its rounds the same weekend students hosted an illicit homecoming party. The school had re-scheduled the event to happen three weeks later to try and prevent unruly student actions.
