In keeping with the IACP’s mission to support and advance the law enforcement profession, the IACP developed a 10 question survey on pressing criminal justice issues for the 2016 U.S. presidential nominees. The survey was designed to gain a better understanding of the candidates criminal justice related policy positions and philosophy. The survey was sent to both Mr. Trump and Secretary Clinton on July 15, 2016.
As a non-partisan, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, the IACP does not, and cannot, endorse or support candidates for political office. The information provided through this survey is designed to provide the IACP membership, the law enforcement community as a whole, and the public each candidate’s policy positions specific to criminal justice and how they plan to work with law enforcement to safeguard communities throughout the United States.
