Two Kentucky Deputies Shot In Warrant Service

Two sheriff’s deputies were injured and a suspect was killed Monday in a Knox County (Kentucky) shooting.

Kentucky.com reports that Knox County sheriff’s deputies were attempting to serve a warrant at about 11:30 a.m. off Ky. 225 in the Trosper community when shots were fired, Kentucky State Police told the The Mountain Advocate Newspaper.

Called to assist, state troopers found the two wounded deputies inside a mobile home.

A person inside the mobile home had fired at the deputies, striking both, the newspaper reported. That person was shot and killed.

One deputy was seriously injured and the other was stable.  Both are at hospitals being treated.
