As reported by the New York Post, president-elect Donald Trump called the widow of slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo, and personally offered his condolences on the very day thousands of police officers attended Tuozzolo’s funeral in Long Island, New York.
A source stated that president-elect Trump said, ““I’m very sorry I cannot be there with you today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time…I want to express my condolences from me and my family.”

Sergeant Tuozzolo was shot and killed by twice-deported, ex-con Manuel Rosales.
This signals a second time Trump has offered support for the NYPD in as many days, as he acknowledged the department in his presidential election victory speech: “Law enforcement in New York City. They are here tonight. They are spectacular people,” he said. “Sometimes underappreciated, unfortunately — but we appreciate them.”
