President Trump Speaks At FBI National Academy Graduation

It’s been 46 years since the President of the United States spoke at the FBI National Academy Graduation and today President Trump gave a speech that was applauded in mass at the gathering of almost 300 law enforcement leaders that were graduating from the prestigious leadership academy.

Telling those in attendance, “I will fight for you and I will never, ever let you down,” President Trump stopped several times as the crowd applauded his statements.

Referring to the importance of leadership, Trump cited a shooting in Chicago every three hours, “What the hell is happening there…..you can stop that.”

He continued, “police departments are overstretched, underfunded and totally underappreciated except by me.”

President Trump discussed the violence against law enforcement, saying that “this anti police sentiment is dangerous and we will not stand for it.”

As he closed his speech, President Trump sent a message to those “that threaten violence” against law enforcement.

“We will protect those that protest us and we believe that criminals that kill police officers should get the death penalty.”

The FBI National Academy is a 10 week leadership academy, in Quantico, Virginia, open to law enforcement leaders across the country.  1% of those in law enforcement have graduated from the institution.
