A Winchester (VA) Police Officer described as a “incredible man” and “great cop” was killed in a single-vehicle collision early Sunday.
Officer Michael Todd Brunson, 48, died at the scene according to West Virginia State Police Tfc. J.D. Carson.
He was operating a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 pickup west near Timber Ridge Road when the vehicle traveled off the road and up an embankment, Carson reported. The vehicle then struck a separate embankment and overturned before coming to rest in the parking lot of The Kettle Stop.
