An on-duty Wisconsin State Trooper may have been attempting to catch up to another vehicle when he lost control of his patrol car and was killed early Tuesday morning on I-90/94 near Wisconsin Dells, Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister said Tuesday afternoon.
The trooper, Anthony J. Borostowski, 34, of Tomah, “was killed instantly” when he apparently lost control of his car, which left the interstate and crashed into a tree, Meister confirmed during a somber news conference at the Sauk County Sheriff’s office in Baraboo.
