Waitress Covers Lunch Bill For Police Returning From Officer’s Funeral

We often read stories of amazing acts of generosity toward waiters and waitresses, but an Ohio server turned the tables this week.

According to WBNS-TV in Columbus, several police officers stopped at a Red Robin restaurant following the funeral for Columbus Police Officer Steven Smith, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

After their meal, the officers found a note on their bill, which had totaled more than $120.

Officers,
Your bill is on me today, I can’t imagine the day you all have had, let alone what you go through every day. I hope your days get better. So much respect. #WeSeeYou #PoliceLivesMatter #RIPOfficerSmith
