Death of Officer David Glasser #8144

This morning we are deeply saddened by the passing of Phoenix Police Officer David Glasser.  Officer Glasser was critically wounded by gunfire last night when he responded to a residential burglary. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries this morning.
Officer Glasser served his community and the Phoenix Police Department with honor for 12 years. He continues to serve others in death as an organ donor.  Officer Glasser is survived by his wife and two small children as well as his parents, sister, and a close extended family.
We are grateful for the support we receive from our community in gentle times and in troubled times. It means a great deal to our officers. Please continue to share your thoughts and prayers for the Glasser family.

Did he have appropriate protective gear on? If, indeed, no more police officers are dying than any other 12 month period, it has been extremely under reported in the past!! I just feel that the “powers that were” during the whole debacle of Ferguson painted a big bulls eye on the law enforcement personnel and basically gave tacit approval for the criminal element to go for it! I’m presuming none of them have ANYONE they care about in law enforcement.

Well, if the “boy” who shot him needed the burgled items for his school expenses, people should understand. Afterall where can boys in de hood gets money if not from stealing. I bet he was a good boy; like Mike Brown of Ferguson was.
