NFL Prospect Wears Shoes Honoring Slain Police Officer

NFL prospect Maurice Canady will be wearing a special pair of cleats honoring slain police officer Ashley Guindon at the NFL combine.

Canady’s cleat have the date of Guindon’s death and the words “never forget.”

The University of Virginia Football Twitter Page posted the following:


Officer Guindon of the Prince William County police department in Virginia was shot and killed during her first day on the job while responding to a domestic violence call.

Canady is projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
