‘Narcos’ Scout Shot and Killed In Mexico

A location scout for the Netflix series Narcos has been fatally shot in Mexico while working on the show’s fourth season.

Narcos is a crime drama set in Colombia which tells the story of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.

Carlos Muñoz Portal, 37, was found dead on Monday in a violent region in central Mexico, his body riddled with bullets inside his car after an apparent chase over back country roads.

There is a lack of witnesses to the incident and the investigation is stalled.

Muñoz was out taking photographs in the high crime area when he was shot.

Muñoz, a Mexican national, had worked as a film location scout since 2003.

He had previously assisted on movies such as Man On Fire, Apocalypto, and Spectre.
