Three people are dead and two others wounded after a shooting at a school on Tuesday.
There were several shots fired at Rancho Tehama Elementary School, police reported. More than 100 law enforcement officials were there dealing with five crime scenes.
Children and a 30-year-old man are among the gunshot victims, the Redding Record Searchlight reports.
The shooter was shot and killed by police.
Reports indicate the incident began at a home and moved to the school around 8 a.m. local time. The building was evacuated and students moved to a safe location, police said.
Identities of those involved and a possible motive for the shooter have not been released by authorities.
