Conroe (TX) police responded to a call of a tiger on the loose this week.
Police received a report of a tiger wandering in the Coral Cove Pass area, near Longmire and League Line. Animal control officers were able to find and capture the tiger, which had a collar and leash. They believe the tiger is a young female. Police are now asking for help finding the owner of the tiger.
The police department posted a message about the unusual call on social media. Conroe residents gave varied responses to the post, with some finding humor, others expressing anger and even more asking to adopt the animal.
“I would love to raise her if the owners don’t come through. She would be in excellent hands,” one person wrote.
“Release this poor animal to a sanctuary. They should not be privately owned and this is one reason why,” another poster wrote.
