CBS New York reports that Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson has agreed to pay a fine for using police officers to deliver his personal meals.
Thompson has agreed to pay $15,000 as part of a settlement with the city’s Conflicts of Interest Board.
He admitted to using thousands of dollars from the Kings County District Attorney’s office to pay for his personal meals between January 2014 and February 2015.
On some of those occasions, the DA would have his members of his detail use their own money to pay for the meals, Colombini reported. His officers would reimburse them, sometimes after a delay.
