According to the criminal complaint:
Lamar Ragland, 23, was driving in a funeral procession in the 2200 block of West Keefe Avenue on Thursday. His bright gold, customized Chevy was the first car behind the hearse, as the procession for George Ragland, 85, moved to the cemetery.
One of two passengers in his car told police that a white SUV pulled up alongside them and a passenger started saying something to those in Ragland’s car that no one could hear because the radio was playing.
Suddenly the man in the white SUV began firing at Ragland’s car. Police say some of the dozen or so shots struck Ragland in the head and arm, killing him.
