A Dallas-area fire captain was fatally shot Friday night, and cops have arrested his wife and another man in connection to the cold-blooded killing, police said.
Robert Poynter of Royse City, 47, who was a chief in the University Park Fire Department, was found dead in a vehicle with a single gunshot wound on Hunt County Road after officers received multiple calls to the scene just before 11 p.m., according to police.
After an investigation reportedly found what was described as suspicious and conflicting evidence, police detained Robert’s wife, Chacey, who was at the scene. She was eventually charged with conspiracy to commit murder after police say they determined another person was involved in Poynter’s death.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Michael Garza for Murder. Garza turned himself into police Sunday, police said.
