HOUSTON (AP) — Police say the body of a man who was beaten, choked and stabbed was found in a Houston motel bathtub and a 17-year-old man has been arrested in his death.
Houston police say in a news release that the 35-year-old victim was killed early Tuesday at the Tropical Motel. The suspect left the motel shortly after, driving the victim's car, and was stopped for a traffic violation. Police say the suspect's clothes were bloody and that he has confessed in the killing.
Police say the teen and the man had been arguing in the room. A motel cleaner found the victim's body.
Houston City Jail records show the suspect is being held without bond Wednesday pending formal charges.
The victim's identity has not been released.
