CHICAGO — A woman whose family said has a history of violent seizures was ordered held without bail Friday in the fatal shooting of Chicago Police Officer Richard Francis.
Robin Johnson, 45, was charged with one count of first-degree murder of a police officer, four counts of attempted murder of a police officer and one count of disarming an officer, said Cook County Assistant State's Atty. Jason Kopec at Johnson's bail hearing.
She remained hospitalized in "stable" condition after being shot by responding officers early Wednesday.
Francis, 60, was shot early Wednesday in a struggle with Johnson, police said.
