CINCINNATI (AP) A Cincinnati city councilman wants to know more about why police used a stun gun on his daughter.
Cecil Thomas says he expects a full investigation of the arrest of 26-year-old Celeste Thomas early Sunday.
Police say she was a passenger in a vehicle allegedly involved in a hit-skip accident. She was charged with obstructing official business and possessing an open container.
A police report states she disobeyed police by getting out of the car, approaching officers. The councilman says his daughter told him she subsequently felt a sharp pain in her back from the stun gun.
Police say driver 33-year-old Demetri Washington had a felony warrant on a burglary charge, and also was charged with resisting arrest and drunken driving. He was in jail Monday.
