PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police are investigating two crashes involving their own vehicles since Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, a squad car crashed into an ambulance as both were responding to a fatal shooting. The officer and two emergency medical services workers were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
And now police say another cruiser has crashed into a sport-utility vehicle.
That happened early Monday in the city's East Liberty neighborhood.
Police say nobody in the SUV was hurt, but the officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out. That happened about 12:30 a.m.
Both crashes remain under investigation.
