DETROIT – Detroit police have released a graphic 68-second video of a precinct station shooting that left four officers wounded and the gunman dead.
Chief Ralph Godbee says the video of Sunday's attack on the 6th Precinct shows "tremendous acts of heroism" by the officers involved.
When the police-edited video starts, officers are seen standing around behind a high desk, chatting. Then gunshots are heard, the officers duck for cover, and a gunman hurls himself over the large desk.
The gunman points his shotgun and fires point-blank at three officers. The gunman and Cmdr. Brian Davis point their weapons at each other. The gunman shoots Davis. He falls to the ground but manages to toss a garbage can at the gunman.
Police return fire and kill 38-year-old Lamar Moore.
