OEM Micro Solutions, the leader in mobile electronic systems for public safety agencies, successfully deployed their fully automated video recording system for the Wickliffe, Ohio Police Department. The OEM Micro system enables officers more time to do what they do best – protect their communities.
As the patrol vehicle pulls into the department lot, the system automatically links up to the Mobile Digital Video System, GPS, and other technological features the car is equipped with, and downloads all files to the server. The system is highly secure, expedites incident reports and lessens the workload for officers.
The fully automated system is installed within the police department and wirelessly connects to every Mobile Digital Video System (MDVS-2) on patrol. The Wickliffe Police Department currently has 10 patrol vehicles equipped with OEM Micro's MDVS-2, which is specifically designed to optimize video data collection with minimum operator input. Most aspects of the video recording, storage, archiving and management can be configured to happen automatically. This capability increases efficiency by lessening the time spent on administrative tasks and more on actual law enforcement.
The fully automated video system has been very well received by the law enforcement community and additional police departments are eager to begin the installation.
