The IACP's 116th conference, held in Denver, Oct. 3 7, featured 800 vendors, more than 13,000 attendees, 490 speaker/presenters, 170 workshops and myriad networking opportunities. As the conference closed, attendees departed with a lot of valuable information and a lot to think about.
The IACP conference gives attendees four unique opportunities: First is the content of the classes. Topics are wide-ranging and the experts come from all over the country to speak here, says Editor-in-Chief Dale Stockton. Second is the vendor participation. You can interact with all the big vendors and almost all of them take this as an opportunity to unveil new products. Third, are the committee meetings that address the IACP s positions on important issues. And finally, this is truly an international conference. We saw participation from all over the world from Malaysia, Africa, Australia all with unique perspectives on law enforcement. This is a conference well worth any officer's time.
In next month's issue of Law Officer, the editors will share their picks of the hottest new products on display at the conference. Don t miss it!
