GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — Great Falls police say an officer suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a pickup driven by a fellow officer in the police department parking lot.
Sgt. Bryan Slavik tells the Great Falls Tribune (http://bit.ly/xbICRV) that Officer Brian Smail had parked his car and was walking to the building shortly before 8 a.m. Monday when another officer pulled into the parking lot in his pickup. The officer in the pickup turned a corner, didn't see Smail and hit him.
Slavik says Smail was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated for minor scrapes and bruising.
Slavik says the case remains under investigation. He did not release the name of the other officer.
