OLEAN, N.Y. — KA-BAR Knives is proud to unveil fifteen new folding knives for 2011.
The FIN Series, Johnson Adventure Blades, and TDI line will each feature two new folding knives. Additionally, the new ZK Knives line will have the tanto-bladed “Kharon”. Also, the Union and Traditional line of folding knives has eight additions for 2011.
The FIN Mojo Folder is 8 1/8" open with a 3 3/8" blade. The Mojo has G10 handles and a 5CR15MO blade. The Mojo is available with a straight or serrated blade and is currently available for purchase.
The Johnson Adventure Blades “Piggyback” and “Baconmaker” Folders measure 7 7/8" open and feature a 3 3/8" blade. The handles are made of GFN-PA66 and the blades are made of AUS 8A Stainless Steel. The Piggyback and Baconmaker Folders are modeled after the larger fixed blade Johnson Adventure Blades of the same name. The Piggyback and Baconmaker Folders will be available for purchase May 1, 2011.
The TDI Folders are 7 ½" in length when open with a 3 5/8" blade. They feature a G10 handle and a 5Cr15MO blade. The TDI Folder is offered with a straight or serrated blade and is currently available for purchase.
The “Kharon”, a folder in the new ZK Knives line, measures 7 7/8" open and has a 3 3/8" blade. The Kharon’s bio-hazard green handle is made of GFN-PA66 and the tanto blade is made of AUS 8A Stainless Steel. The Kharon will be available for purchase May 1, 2011.
The Union and Traditional KA-BAR series will welcome eight new products. These American-made folding knives feature handles made of Reclaimed American Chestnut and Ram’s Horn. The new patterns are a Trapper, 2-Blade Trapper, Lockback, and 3-Blade Stockman. All new Union and Traditional folders will be available in mid-May 2011.
