WABASH VALLEY, Ind. — An apparent heart attack claimed the life of a Wabash Valley Correctional Officer Sunday afternoon. 51-year-old Timothy Betts of Jasonville collapsed while assisting in the escort of an unruly offender to segregation. Medical staff began CPR and utilized the AED(automated external defibrillator) and continued CPR until an ambulance arrived. Officer Betts was rushed to Sullivan County Community Hospital. At 2:30p.m. the facility was notified Officer Betts had passed away.
