AZUSA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say they found incendiary devices, 22 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition at a fire-gutted Southern California home where three people died.
The bodies of a man and two women were discovered by firefighters who doused a Thursday afternoon blaze at the Azusa home.
Police Lt. Mike Bertelsen says authorities found the house and garage on fire and heard ammunition exploding. Nearby homes were evacuated.
Bertelsen says 12 rifles and 10 handguns were found at the home, along with ammo, gunpowder and incendiary devices.
The San Gabriel Valley Tribune (http://bit.ly/SLfyoK) says the home went into foreclosure in June. Neighbors say a man and his two sisters lived there but kept to themselves.
Their deaths and the cause of the fire are under investigation.
