WHEATLAND, Wyoming (AP) — Police say four people have been shot to death at a residence in a Wyoming town, and a suspect is in custody.
Police in Wheatland, about 90 miles (145 kilometers) north of Cheyenne, say officers responded to a report of shots fired at the residence shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday.
They say they arrested a man identified as Everett Conant, in his mid-30s, after a brief standoff. They say he surrendered without incident.
Police say some of the victims were minors. One other person was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Attempts to reach police and prosecutors for more information Friday were not immediately successful.
