CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A bomb threat to a US Airways flight that was evacuated after landing at its destination has been deemed "not a credible threat," the FBI said Thursday.
Flight 1285 from Baltimore to Charlotte was not allowed to pull up to the gate when it landed shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Instead, all 109 people on board were taken off the aircraft and the FBI searched the plane in a secure location.
FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson told The Associated Press the investigation is continuing.
Thoreson would not say how the threat was made or how it was deemed to be not credible.
A US Airways statement said 104 passengers and five crew members were on the flight.
One passenger told WSOC-TV that bomb-sniffing dogs checked the passengers and luggage on the tarmac.
An airport spokeswoman said the airport was not evacuated.
