WINDSOR, Colo. (AP) — Authorities in northern Colorado say a 20-year-old woman was shot in the neck while she drove on a major highway, and investigators are trying to determine if the shooting is related to three similar incidents in the area.
Larimer County sheriff's spokesman David Moore says the woman was driving on Interstate 25 near Windsor on Wednesday night when her windshield shattered, and she realized she'd been shot. Her condition hasn't been released.
The shooting came a day after a sheriff's van transporting prisoners was hit by a projectile on I-25 about 20 miles away, shattering a passenger window.
Meanwhile, a man reported his rear window was shattered Wednesday in Loveland, and a driver in Weld County says his front driver's side window was shattered Thursday.
It's too soon to say if the incidents are connected. The woman was the only one injured.
