POST FALLS, IDAHO— Buck Knives has awarded their 2011 Sales Rep Agency of the Year to Upper Canada Sports of Toronto, as well as naming Jimmy Newman of the Newman Agency in Troy, Alabama, their Sales Rep of the Year.
Upper Canada Sports and the Newman Agency are independent manufacturer’s representatives with long standing relationships with Buck Knives. Upper Canada Sports consists of Norm Belanger, principal/owner, and a sales team of Todd Horton and Shawn Amyotte. Upper Canada Sports has worked with Buck Knives for the past 15 years and also received this award in 2010. Jimmy Newman has been a Buck rep for 43 years, after taking over his father’s business in 1992.
“I take great pride in honoring these individuals for their accomplishments,” said CJ Buck, president of Buck Knives. “It is also very sentimental to me and my father knowing that my grandfather, Al Buck, hired Jimmy’s father, James Newman Sr., as one of our original rep groups in the 1960s.”
“The Buck Knives brand continues to be well represented throughout the world, thanks to our rep agencies,” said Bob George, director of sales and marketing. “Our sales force is what makes the business grow, and we value the hard-work and dedication of the entire team.”
